How It Works

Our Powder Coating Process

Every job follows a rigorous six-step process to ensure a flawless, long-lasting finish that meets professional standards.

Inspection & Assessment

We examine every component on arrival, noting condition, surface contamination and any areas requiring masking. We confirm colour, finish type and any special requirements with you.

Shot Blasting

Where required, we arrange professional shot blasting through our trusted supplier. This removes rust, mill scale, weld spatter and old coatings to create an ideal surface profile — all coordinated by us, so you have a single point of contact throughout.

Iron Phosphate Pre-Treatment

Parts are cleaned and treated with our iron phosphate wash system. This chemical process removes oils and contaminants while providing an additional layer of corrosion protection.

Masking

Threaded holes, precision bores, mating faces and any other areas that must remain powder-free are carefully masked off before coating begins.

Electrostatic Application

Powder is applied electrostatically using specialist spray guns. The charged particles wrap around the component and adhere evenly across all surfaces for consistent coverage.

Curing & Final Inspection

Components are cured in our ovens at the correct temperature and duration for the specific powder used. After cooling, every item is inspected before being released for collection or delivery.
